Florida Woman Loses Arm in Alligator Attack While Swimming
A woman was severely injured after being bitten by a nearly 10-foot alligator while swimming in the Silver River in Marion County, Florida. Despite the horrific attack, during which her arm was partially ripped off, she was rescued by a good Samaritan. Family members report that her arm was subsequently amputated due to the extent of her injuries. Following the incident, officials closed the river for safety, and the alligator involved has since been removed. Wildlife officials are investigating the attack and have confirmed that the swimmer was attacked while enjoying time in the water with friends.
