Texas has recently carried out its fifth execution this year, executing a man convicted of killing three individuals during a burglary in 2005. The inmate, who had been on death row for nearly two decades, was executed by lethal injection after the warden asked for his last words. The crime, which shocked the community, involved the brutal killings of the victims in a home invasion. This execution comes amid a notable uptick in death penalties across the United States, with additional executions planned in other states.
