A Baltimore police officer has been indicted over allegations of faking traffic stops to avoid answering actual service calls. Dequwan Houchins, a member of the Baltimore Police Department, is accused of logging false traffic stops while reportedly ordering a smoothie instead of responding to real emergencies. Prosecutors claim that Houchins radioed in car stops that never occurred, leading to accusations of misconduct. The indictment has been officially announced by city officials.
