Among the allegations are schemes aimed at prominent dissidents in Washington, as well as broader plots against Ukraine allies in both the US and Europe. The FBI has also reported thwarting attempts to execute these assassination plans, which included financing by Russian agents and the utilization of operatives for murder-for-hire schemes. The indicted individuals reportedly include two Cubans and a Venezuelan, illustrating the international reach of the Russian assassination network.
