Tropical Storm Dolly Forms in the Atlantic
Tropical Storm Dolly has officially formed in the Atlantic, following a series of forecasts predicting its development. The system is currently tracking toward the Caribbean but is expected to be short-lived due to adverse conditions from a brewing Super El Niño. Despite its name coinciding with the recent passing of singer Dolly Parton, forecasters clarify that the storm was named based on a selection process established decades ago. Heavy rain could impact portions of the Caribbean as the storm progresses, though its location remains far from land.
