The Chicago Cubs have officially activated pitcher Edward Cabrera from the injured list, and he is set to start in the upcoming game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Cabrera returns after a successful rehab stint, including a notable performance where he pitched five no-hit innings. His activation prompted the Cubs to make some tough roster decisions, including optioning Javier Assad to the minor leagues and shifting David Peterson to a bullpen role. The move is seen as a risky yet strategic decision to bolster the pitching lineup as the team faces the Cardinals.
