In an action-packed primary election, Republican Byron Donalds and Democrat David Jolly have emerged victorious, setting the stage for their highly anticipated face-off in the upcoming November gubernatorial election in Florida. Donalds, a Trump-backed candidate, and former Republican Jolly, who is favored by progressive voters, will compete to succeed Governor Ron DeSantis. This election cycle marks a significant moment, as voters are eager to see whether Democrats can break a 27-year streak of Republican governance in the state. Despite being heavily outspent, Jolly is optimistic about his chances in the general election, bringing a message of hope and change. As Florida prepares for the November election, both candidates are gearing up for what is expected to be a closely watched and contentious race.
