Recent developments indicate increasing tensions in the Red Sea region as Iranian-backed Houthi forces intensify their activities. U.S. officials met with Houthi leaders in Oman, where the Houthis pledged not to target U.S. or Israeli vessels. Meanwhile, discussions between Israel and Saudi Arabia have centered on intelligence sharing to counter Houthi threats. The Saudi crown prince has sought military assistance from the U.S., but reports suggest that President Trump has declined to commit to direct military action, citing a need for a cautious approach. As the Houthis continue to gain ground, concerns grow over the impact on oil markets and regional stability. In light of these developments, Saudi Arabia is reportedly looking for support from Israel in the face of a potential Iranian ally moving in on strategic waterways.
