In Mobile, Alabama, former President Donald Trump held a rally aimed at energizing his base just a month ahead of the midterm elections. The rally, which took place at the University of South Alabama, drew thousands of enthusiastic supporters but was also met with protests from critics. Trump revisited the state, which he dubbed a sign of respect, acknowledging its role in his political ascent. While he focused on boosting morale among Republicans and highlighting investment projects, the gathering demonstrated the ongoing struggles within the GOP as they seek to secure key positions in Congress. Local officials prepared for notable traffic disruptions and security measures in anticipation of the large turnout.
