Firefighters have made significant progress in containing the Walnut Fire, which recently burned approximately 40 acres in Burbank’s Wildwood Canyon, prompting evacuation orders for nearby residents. The blaze was sparked by a car crash, which also led to evacuations as flames approached homes. Fortunately, evacuation orders have been lifted as of now, with the fire reported to be 70% contained. In the meantime, some trails remain closed and a concert was canceled due to the situation. Crews continue to monitor the area as additional brush fires have been reported nearby.
