An eight-hour standoff at an apartment complex in Southeast Portland concluded peacefully with the arrest of a man suspected of attempted arson. Tactical teams responded to the situation in the Richmond neighborhood after reports of an armed individual confronting firefighters. The area around Southeast Division Street was closed off while law enforcement worked to resolve the incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the suspect was taken into custody without further escalation.
