The Clacton by-election has become a spectacle with a record 34 candidates, featuring the comedic Count Binface vying for a parliamentary seat against former UKIP leader Nigel Farage. As Clacton locals express frustration with traditional politicians, they are turning to unconventional candidates like Count Binface, who is seen as a potential spoiler in a race many are calling a joke. Polls suggest that local voters are eager to deliver a message to Farage, prompting discussions on what they truly want from their next MP. Amidst the frenzy, the election has drawn attention with stunts, including a flight path drawing a bin shape over Clacton. The outcome remains uncertain, but one thing is clear: Clacton deserves better than a farcical election.
