The Minnesota Vikings have suffered a significant blow as safety Jamal Adams has been ruled out for the season after sustaining a serious knee injury during the first preseason game against the Giants. Following the injury, the team placed Adams on injured reserve and signed cornerback Bryce Phillips to bolster their roster. This unfortunate setback comes on the heels of growing concerns about the playing surface at MetLife Stadium, a factor that has contributed to injuries for various players. The loss of Adams raises questions about potential roster changes, including the possibility of bringing back veteran safety Harrison Smith.
