Jim Thornton, the longtime announcer of ‘Wheel of Fortune’, has been suspended and subsequently fired by Sony following allegations related to his involvement in a disturbing chatroom. Reports indicate that Thornton accessed a pedophilia support chatroom during a flight, which prompted an investigation. His attorney has claimed that Thornton entered the chatroom by accident, labeling the reports as defamatory. Despite this defense, the investigation resulted in his dismissal, marking a significant career crisis for the popular TV personality.
