As rising gas prices impact voter sentiment, many Republican candidates are increasingly breaking ranks with former President Trump regarding the ongoing Iran war. With critical midterm elections approaching, GOP members in tight races are urging an immediate end to the conflict. This shift is highlighted by upcoming Senate votes on resolutions aimed at halting the war, as candidates like Mike Rogers and John James publicly advocate for a rapid resolution to the situation. Vulnerable Republican senators are feeling pressure from constituents who are frustrated with the costs associated with the war, leading to a collective call within the party to reconsider their stance on the conflict.
