Authorities have charged a man with murder following a catastrophic explosion at a marijuana extraction facility in Sand Springs that resulted in the deaths of two workers. The suspect, Ryan Bassham, was arrested and initially posted a $2 million bond but has since been re-arrested. Multiple agencies responded to the scene, where the blast caused extensive damage to nearby businesses and sparked questions regarding safety regulations in the medical marijuana industry. Reports indicate that the facility had previously lost its state permit and had ignored warnings from the fire marshal prior to the incident. Legal actions are being taken as the investigation continues, with calls for stricter oversight in the industry.
