The UK government has confirmed its agreement to provide military support to Saudi Arabia as it faces increasing attacks from Iranian-backed Houthi rebels. The support, articulated by UK’s Burnham, includes defensive military assistance and aerial refueling for Saudi jets, aimed at countering Houthi aggression. Burnham stated that the RAF will be deployed to aid Saudi efforts in defending against the ongoing threat posed by the Houthis. Additionally, discussions suggest that Saudi Arabia is exploring support from other international allies, including Israel, to bolster its defense capabilities as regional tensions escalate.
