The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released the latest A-F accountability ratings for schools across the state, highlighting a mix of improvements and ongoing challenges. Many schools, including some within Dallas ISD, have shown academic growth, with the district earning a second consecutive B rating. However, Austin ISD faces significant scrutiny as two of its schools receive their fifth straight F rating, potentially leading to state intervention. Meanwhile, a notable percentage of Texas schools have scored below a C grade, sparking discussions on state control for struggling districts. The ratings reveal flat trends overall, with numerous districts vying to avoid state takeovers amidst varying performance outcomes across the state, including notable distinctions for Richardson ISD and Bexar County schools.
