Reports have emerged of a disturbing crisis aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, where sailors are facing dire conditions after an extended deployment of over 260 days in the Middle East. Multiple sailors have attempted to jump overboard, prompting serious concerns about their mental health and well-being. Families of the sailors are outraged by reports of moldy showers, lack of soap, and inadequate food supplies, describing the situation as unbearable. The strain on service members has attracted attention from U.S. lawmakers, with calls for an investigation into the living conditions aboard the aircraft carrier. The acting Navy secretary has faced intense scrutiny from military families during a recent meeting, highlighting the urgent need for answers as the deployment shows no signs of ending. Such prolonged deployments without adequate support may lead to further deterioration in morale among the crew.
