The Toledo Blade newspaper is at risk of shutting down if a suitable buyer is not found by December 31. Ownership has announced the newspaper is for sale and warned that without a buyer, the publication could cease to exist. Several statements from Block Communications emphasize the urgency of the situation, with the possibility of a final edition looming. The Toledo NewsGuild has also commented on the implications of this decision on the future of the iconic newspaper.
