Minnesota is preparing for significant rainfall on Friday, with forecasts predicting over 6 inches of rain in some areas, prompting flood watches across southern regions, including the Twin Cities. Meteorologists have warned that this could be one of the most extreme rain events in the last two decades, with thunderstorms potentially leading to flash flooding. Rain is expected to begin overnight and persist into Saturday, disrupting calm conditions experienced earlier in the week. Residents are advised to stay informed and take necessary precautions as heavy showers continue to move into the state.
