A series of massive missile and drone attacks launched by Russia on Kyiv has resulted in significant civilian casualties, with reports indicating at least 16 people killed and many more injured. The attacks, which targeted various districts of the Ukrainian capital and its surroundings, have brought attention to the ongoing air defense struggles faced by Ukraine. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has highlighted that the lack of advanced air defense systems, specifically the Patriot missiles, is contributing to these tragic losses. The situation escalated with various types of weaponry being used, including ballistic and hypersonic missiles, leading to devastation in residential areas and critical infrastructure. Residents have been rescued from damaged buildings as Kyiv grapples with the aftermath of the bombardment, raising urgent calls for international support.
